Dominique Fishback On The Rise
"Coming from East New York, Brooklyn, places like that, you don't really get to see a lot of people that have lived their big dreams like this—and I just had to believe that it was possible," says Dominique Fishback in our latest episode of On The Rise. Following her breakout roles in 'Show Me A Hero' and 'The Deuce', Dominique stuns as Deborah Johnson in the newly released 'Judas and The Black Messiah.' Here, the 29-year-old actor, poet, and playwright talks growing up on 'Sister, Sister' and ‘I Love Lucy’ reruns, the power of journaling, highlighting Black love on screen, and honoring the legacy of the Black Panther Party.
