It’s been 15 years since we said goodbye to the characters of Chandler, Ross, Rachel, Monica, Joey and Phoebe, but our love of a certain sitcom hasn’t dissipated.

No wonder then that people have been excited about the arrival of Friends edition LEGO play set – we just didn’t expect one of those waiting in line to be Matthew Perry himself.

The 17 Again actor took to social media to announce that he’d not only got a set, but built his and turned himself into a superhero in the process.

He wrote on his Twitter feed, “I built the Friends lego set. I made myself Batman. But that’s neither here nor there. I’m Batman.”

Perry is known for his long-term love of the caped crusader, so much so that it was actually built into his character of Chandler Bing.

He also has a “batcave” in his home, filled with Dark Knight memorabilia, which he has talked about in the past. In fact, when he was on Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night chat show back in 2017, he was given a “Mattman” plaque using his own face as a memento of the visit.

Perry’s tweets generally have a dry comic tone. At the beginning of August, he took to Twitter to comment on the toy release, posting a picture of his figure and saying he could “clearly see that Chandler is the most attractive.”

The actor turned 50 just last week. Marking the moment on social media with a simple post that read “50”. The day before he wrote, “I would very much like to look like Bradley Cooper. Thanks much.”

The big birthday may have prompted another change. Perry has also recently put his Los Angeles penthouse up for sale. The property is on the market for 35 million dollars.
