The Orville's first-look trailer for season 3 has Star Wars Easter egg
The Orville: New Horizons has finally given us a trailer ahead of streaming next month.
Created by and starring Seth MacFarlane (as Captain Ed Mercer), this is the third Orville season to date, with a three-year gap since the second.
Skipping past the opening 'Ozymandias' sonnet recital, the trailer has everything from spaceflight to alien cities, conversations on the USS Orville itself and even a Star Wars Easter egg.

"Let's go make some history," Commander Kelly Grayson (played by Adrianne Palicki) tells Mercer as their starship approaches an unexplored planet.
"I didn't prepare anything..." he replies, hoping to energise his nervous crew.
His solution? "I know you're all just as excited as I am, so let's give this everything we've got and... may the force be with you!"
Perfect timing ahead of Obi-Wan Kenobi's arrival this month.

Despite some clear similarities, did you know that The Orville wasn't actually inspired by cult movie Galaxy Quest?
Asked by Digital Spy if this was the case, MacFarlane previously shared: "Shockingly, no. The intent of that movie, to me, was to be a full-on comedy. As a result, the stakes, in terms of science fiction and the parables of science fiction, weren't really something that needed to be taken all that seriously because it was pure comedy.
"So it really wasn't something that [inspired me]. It's funny. Shockingly, I don't know the movie that well. I saw it once years ago, but it's been years. But it wasn't really an influence."
The Orville season 3 comes to Hulu on June 2 and will be available to UK viewers via STAR on Disney+.
