Grey's Anatomy season 19 episode 12 spoilers follow.

Addison Montgomery's fate has been revealed on Grey's Anatomy, following last week's cliffhanger car collision.

Airing yesterday (March 30) in the US, Kate Walsh's character and a pregnant OB/GYN resident named Tia were rushed to hospital after being hit by an anti-abortion protester's car.

"I was only clipped by the car. It's my shoulder," Addison said from a gurney, with her major concern being for Tia, who suffered blunt force trauma to the abdomen.

Tia was seen begging Jo Wilson not to delivery her baby boy Connor, as she felt it was too early at 28 weeks.

Meanwhile, Atticus 'Link' Lincoln's planned treatment of Addison fell on deaf ears – he ended up relocating her shoulder without sedation – because she wanted to get straight back on the ward to help deliver Tia's child.

"That baby is not going to survive in the uterus any longer," she stressed. "We gotta get the baby out. I'm not going to let that person behind the wheel take two lives out of this family."

A C-section was carried out, but Tia was moved to the ICU. Fortunately, following an emergency procedure, the doctors were able to save Tia's life, and she and Connor both ended the episode alive.

The driver responsible for the incident was also apprehended.

"The irony of all this is that these people are targeting me for the abortion care that I provide when that is actually the least common procedure I'm doing," Addison reflected.

"I'm mostly providing wellness checks, prenatal care, annual pelvic exams, pap smears, since so many clinics have closed in the last several months. I'm the only option they have. I can't take a break. If I take a break, who's gonna do the work?"

Undeterred by the protesters, Addison then left once more after saying her goodbyes.

Grey's Anatomy season 19 airs on Thursdays on ABC in the US. The show streams on Disney+ in the UK, where new episodes premiere on Wednesdays.
