2020 is officially the year of orange chocolate. From Cadbury’s orange Fingers and Buttons to Maryland’s new orange chocolate chip cookies and Galaxy’s orange chocolate truffles – this dumpster fire of a year has been saved by all these tasty treats.

Well… almost saved.

So what could be the next chocolate snack to get the orange treatment? Why, it’s Wagon Wheels!

Those lunchbox essentials have been given a zesty, citrusy makeover, and we’re into it. Because, of course we are.

Our pals on Instagram, @productsinstore, went out to find a packet to give us their thoughts on the new Wagon Wheels, which much like the original and jammy versions, have chocolate covered biscuits with a yummy, gooey mallow middle. But these bad boys have a splodge of orange jam in the middle.

You can buy a packet of orange Wagon Wheels from Tesco and Home Bargains, and six of the individually wrapped biscuits will set you back just 79p.

If orange chocolate biscuits really are your thing, Tesco recently released a zesty version of its iconic chocolate bourbon creams.

Or maybe the new Christmas Jaffa Cakes are more up your street? To get you feeling all festive, McVitie’s has launched orange and cranberry flavoured Jaffa Cakes.

McVitie’s says about the new Jaffa Cakes, which will set you back £1.20 a box, “A thrilling festive take on a much-loved classic, the new Orange and Cranberry Jaffa Cakes are ready to take centre stage this Christmas. The original blend of dark crackly chocolate, light sponge and a smashing orangey centre has been enhanced with the flavours of warming cranberry, creating a surprising and delicious twist for you to enjoy.”

Right, let’s get the Christmas tree up and call time on this terrible year already, shall we?
