Jeff Sessions: Here's What I'll Do If Trump Fires Rosenstein

Attorney General Jeff Sessions told the White House last weekend that if President Donald Trump fires Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Sessions himself may quit. Rosenstein assumed oversight of the FBI's Russia investigation after Sessions recused himself last year. He also appointed former FB director Robert Mueller as special counsel in charge of the probe, after Trump summarily fired FBI director James Comey last May. Trump has long stewed over Sessions' recusal and the powers of Rosnstein, but his fury reached an apex last week. News broke that the FBI had raided the home and office of Trump's longtime personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, and seized several documents and records--including several that pertain to Trump's personal and business activities.
