
Sunderland's first coronavirus patients reflects on pandemic one year on
It has been a year since Sunderland’s first coronavirus patient, Marion Jolliff, was taken to hospital where she was diagnosed with the virus. The 63-year-old from Pennywell, says she is ‘lucky to be here’ following her agonising battle with Covid-19, the effects of which still feels today – 12 months on from becoming seriously ill.
