Chinese firefighters rescue boy who fell through road into deep well
Firefighters rescued a 7-year-old boy who fell into a 6-metre-deep well in eastern China. The video, filmed in the city of Ningbo in Zhejiang Province on February 27, shows a boy accidentally dropping into a well after jumping down a small step. Since the diameter of the well was only around one metre, firefighters could not lower themselves down to rescue the boy. Because the boy was in a good condition, the firefighters decided to put a ladder down into the well so he could climb up by himself. Firefighters used their bare hands and tools to clear the obstacles around the mouth of the well first and then put a ladder down into it. After around 10 minutes, the boy climbed out of the well successfully and firefighters helped lift him up. Fortunately, the boy only had minor scratches to his body. Police covered the well with obstacles and also set up a warning sign. The video was provided by local media with permission.
