An adorable one-year-old rabbit which has been at the rescue centre in Burton for over 15 weeks is looking for a forever home. Black and white Willow is a young female Netherland Dwarf rabbit who was brought into the Hillfield House RSPCA shelter in Stretton in July due to being part of a cruelty case.

She was brought into the shelter along with another rabbit named Henry, who has also yet to have anyone take a shine to him and take him home. Anyone wanting to take Willow home needs to be someone experienced with rabbits who have previously owned similar rabbits with a "skittish" personalities.

A spokesperson from the shelter said: "Willow is a pretty female rabbit, who has been with us here at the centre since June 4. She came into our care via an inspector, due to being part of a cruelty case with another male, Henry.

"Unfortunately we had to separate Willow from Henry, due to fighting and bullying. Willow is of a nervous disposition, and does not like being handled in any way shape or form.

"So time is needed for her to settle and grow in confidence in a forever settled home. On the ground she is initially unsure of new environments and can take time to adapt.

"We are looking for experienced rabbit owners, who have previously owned similar rabbits with a skittish and nervous streak. Willow would love to find a laidback neutered male and for them to be bonded slowly over a period of time.

"Housing wise she will need an extra large amount of space that is crammed with enrichment, such as: tunnels, hidey houses, balls, gnawers, and raised platforms. Willow can be rehomed with calm and experienced children of 10 years or older."
