The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out looking stunning in dark green on Wednesday morning (6 March) as she braved the rain for a visit in Blackpool.

Showing us all how to work this year's big colour blocking trend, Kate opted for an olive tailored coat by Sportmax over a bright green printed Michael Kors midi dress for the occasion.

The 37-year-old completed her outfit with a matching green handbag and tonal black accessories, including knee-high heeled boots, gloves and a scarf. Meanwhile, her hair was worn up in an elegant ponytail.

Kate and Prince William are in Blackpool visiting a series of innovative projects focused on investment and regeneration in the area. The royal couple will also learn how the seaside resort is leading the way in helping to tackle some of the social and mental health problems faced in Britain today.

It seems as if green is Kate's go-to hue this season, after she stepped out on Tuesday (5 March) wearing a mint midi dress at Buckingham Palace and chose a similar shade during an appearance in Belfast in February.
