Get your CVs at the ready as those looking for a new challenge or maybe even to venture into the working world should note Coventry has a number of job opportunities up-for-grabs.

That is according to employment site Indeed, which features a number of jobs that may be just what you are looking for.

CoventryLive has compiled a list of the jobs available right now within the £25,000 plus wage area. They range from everything from with the city council to Network Rail.

Here are some of the jobs available right now in the city:

Research Assistant - University of Warwick - This is a part-time, fixed term contract between £27,116 - £30,497 a year.

The work includes supporting the impact case project: “Promoting the cultural survival and revival of the British Heritage Crafts sector” by working with Dr. Innan Sasaki.

The role will support the impact case project by engaging in activities related to identifying and mapping relevant stakeholders, planning an impact workshop event, and supporting the delivery of policy recommendations. These will include suggestions for the UK government and local councils to support the survival and prosperity of the British heritage craft sector.

Other activities include supporting organising and attending meetings and collecting evidence to support the communication of the policy recommendations. The impact workshop event will be held in London where the key stakeholders and academics will be invited to discuss their research and related policy suggestions. The work contract may be subject to renewal.

Chat Central project assistant - Voluntary Action Coventry (VAC)- This is a part-time position on a fixed term contract for £30,000 a year.

Voluntary Action Coventry (VAC) has secured funding through the National Lottery Community Fund to deliver a project aimed at helping people in Coventry to overcome loneliness and isolation. We are looking to recruit a fun, compassionate and organised person to undertake the role of Project Assistant for our Chat Central Project.

The role will focus on supporting the Chat Central Engagement Officer to follow up referrals, maintain the client database, promote, monitor and evaluate the project and most importantly provide compassionate support to people experiencing loneliness and isolation.

You need to be a good all-rounder, able to juggle a busy workload, bring some zing and ideas to group sessions and be a good listener; helping people to build new social connections and self-esteem through participating in community activities and/or volunteering.

Welfare Benefits Adviser - Coventry City Council- This is a full time position on a fixed term contract for a salary of between £22,571 - £28,226 a year

It is for a Low income Family Tracker (LIFT) Project. In response to the pandemic Customer Services established a team to handle requests for assistance, people contacted us for all sorts of things – from needing help with food and medicine to dog walking. The service has evolved, and the team now spend more time understanding people’s circumstances and carrying out research to find solutions that will help them to address the challenges that they face.

The Low income Family Tracker (LIFT) project aims to identify and contact to low income families to understand whether they could be supported to apply for additional benefits and to prevent homelessness.

There will be times when you’ll need the ability to deliver difficult messages and manage expectations, while we try our best there aren’t always straight forward solutions to the challenges that people face. Resilience is important in this equally challenging and rewarding role.

This is an initial pilot, we want the post holders to help us to explore what might be possible in this area of work and keep the records necessary to inform potential other projects. The role is initially for a fixed term period, to be reviewed in line with business needs.

Welcome host - Mitie - 48 hours per week 4 days on 4 days off. Night & Day shifts included. Annual Salary £30,000

To represent Signature and Network Rail in a proficient, professional and personal manner at all times. To make sure the front of house is efficiently managed to the standards of which Network Rail expect. This role is diverse between front of house and administrate tasks; this will require you to be proactive and efficient in your delivery to create a smooth daily operation.

Mental Health Co-ordinator - Sky Blues in the Community - Full time job, £25,000 a year

The post holder will support SBitC to deliver our mental health work across Coventry and Warwickshire. The post holder will support in the triage and follow-up of referrals, as well as the planning and delivery of mental wellbeing interventions that include mental wellbeing courses, 1-2-1 support, and physical activity support networks. The post holder will be required to support with the creation and delivery of future mental health projects, which may include work in primary schools.

The post holder will also lead the delivery of mental health workshops and assist in the delivery of a range of physical activities, as part of an ongoing maintenance and resilience building programme.

This role will require a dynamic facilitator and effective organiser who has experience of working with adults and young people living with mental health conditions, both in an individual and group setting. The post holder will need to show initiative and be able to develop a programme of work.

This post is a varied position, which will involve relationship building, direct delivery of courses and 1-2-1 sessions, supporting physical activity programmes and evaluating the success of this intervention in improving the lives of the adults and young people it supports.

Progress chaser - Volkswagen Coventry - £25,000 a year - Full-time, Permanent

This is for someone looking to start their career in the motor trade. You will learn every aspect of selling a car with a view to progress and become our next Sales Executive.

This key role requires excellent communication and administrative skills as you will be responsible for assisting the sales team with the preparation of all new and used cars for both display and handover.

Responsibilities include checking in New and Used cars, fuelling cars, Ad hoc driving duties, organising photography of used cars., assisting with the preparation of vehicles for handover., managing the loading of cars onto the internet. and maintaining showroom standards.
