Arguably one of the greatest groups in pop music history, ABBA have returned to the charts with new album 'Voyage' which is outselling the rest of the UK Top 40 combined.

Their first release in 40 years, the Swedish mega-group regularly topped the charts worldwide from 1974 to 1983 and have notched up 48 hit singles.

ABBA's record sales have been estimated to be around 400 million and are by far the most successful musical act to ever come out of mainland Europe.

Their last original album was 'The Visitors' 40 years ago. Songwriting duo Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus have said Voyage is their final offering and is intended to be the second part of the 1981 album.

During many of ABBA's active years, the group consisted of two marriages. Agnetha Fältskog and Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.

However, as success soared and public scrutiny intensified, both relationships failed. Subsequently, the group's music took a less light 'poppy' direction, instead more introspective and dark but retained the same ABBA qualities that helped them top the charts.

40 years on from the The Visitors, who are the members of ABBA married to now?

Agnetha Fältskog

First achieving solo success before joining ABBA, Fältskog was just 15-years-old when she left school to pursue a career in music.

She met her eventual husband in 1968 and had already written many songs with Ulvaeus before forming ABBA.

In 1971 the pair married and went on to have two children, Linda Elin Ulvaeus and Peter Christian Ulvaeus in 1973 and 1977, respectively,

After seven years of marriage, the couple divorced but vowed to not let it impact ABBA. The failure of their marriage inspired Ulvaeus to write the lyrics of 'The Winner Takes It All'.

Fältskog married Tomas Sonnenfeld in 1990, but separated three years later.

Now 71, she lives on the Stockholm County island of Ekerö, with her son, his partner and their daughter. Fältskog's daughter also lives on the island with her family.

Björn Ulvaeus

Following his divorce to Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus had continued success songwriting as the co-composer of musical Mamma Mia! and co-produced the films Mamma Mia! and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.

In 1981, he married music journalist Lena Källersjö and pair had two daughters, Emma Eleonora Anna Linnea.

The couple are still married to this day and live on a private island in Djursholm, north of Stockholm.

Anni-Frid Lyngstad

Now called Princess Anni-Frid, Dowager Countess of Plauen, Lyngstad has been married three times during her 75 years.

She had two children with Ragnar Fredriksson, who she married in 1964 but got divorced six years later.

The following year in 1971, Lyngstad was engaged to ABBA songwriter Andersson but only married in 1978. The pair's marriage lasted just 24 months and the couple had no children together.

In 1992, Lyngstad married Prince Heinrich Ruzzo of Reuss, Count of Plauen and since then, she has held the titles of Princess Reuss and Countess of Plauen.

Unfortunately, Ruzzo died in 1999 of lymphoma making Lyngstad the Dowager Princess and Countess.

The Norway-born singer currently resides in Zermatt , Switzerland with her English partner, Henry Smith, 5th Viscount Hambleden.

Benny Andersson

Before marrying Lyngstad, Andersson was engaged to Christina Grönvall and they had a son and daughter together.

When the pair separated in 1966, Grönvall had sole custody of their children as Andersson was touring Sweden with the 'Hep Stars'.

After officially divorcing Lyngstad in 1981, he married Swedish TV presenter Mona Nörklit in the same year, had son with her and has been with Nörklit ever since.
