A Liverpool designer is in the running for the Shed of the Year after growing her business... in her garden.

Rachael Taylor, from south Liverpool, is a competitor in Cuprinol’s Shed of the Year competition for the space she created to run her flourishing pattern and design business.

Shed of the Year: Merseyside sheds that never made it onto TV

Rachael, 34, was looking for extra space to grow and develop her business so treated herself (and her shed) to a makeover for the 10th anniversary of her business.

Her hard work paid off, with her personality and design style clearly demonstrated throughout the shed’s interior as well as its exterior.

Rachael adores her newly jazzed-up shed, calling it her ‘colourful, pattern-filled haven’.

Looking at the pictures of the creative stylist’s decorative work, it’s not hard to see why.

Liverpool has been well represented in Cuprinol’s Shed of the Year in past years, with an owl-shaped gem of a shed winning in the eco-shed category in 2015 (owner Tracy Caroline Lewis) , and Joe Wood winning Channel 4’s Shed of the Year competition in 2014, also with an eco-shed, growing vegetables from recycled waste on the roof.
