Trump 'tried to grab steering wheel to join Capitol rioters'
Donald Trump tried to grab the steering wheel of his presidential limousine on Jan. 6, 2021, when his security detail declined to take him to the US Capitol where his supporters were rioting, a former aide testified on Tuesday in the latest explosive testimony to come out of the House hearings on the deadly assault. Cassidy Hutchinson, a top aide to Trump's then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, also said that Trump was aware that some of his supporters were armed when he directed them to descend on the Capitol.
