This Morning 's Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield spoke to Adrian, a furry, meaning someone who likes to dress as an animal, in Adrian's case a bunny called Pop.

Adrian has spent lockdown in his rabbit costume, and explained it all started when his father bought him a cuddly toy rabbit when he was a child, and he realised rabbits were his "spirit animal".

"I found the furry fandom and they are like minded people who like the suits and stuff, so I started getting into that and before I knew it I was going to meets and conventions, I made local friends, they're lovely," he said.

Adrian said he enjoys people staring on the street and said people's reactions are usually positive, with children giving him high fives and chasing him.

"I just want to put a smile on people's faces," he added.

Holly asked: "There are a lot of people who will be watching this and wondering if this is a fetish? But that's not the case for you is it?

Adrian replied: "No not really, I am wearing this suit now and it's very hot in here, I am not interested in the whole fetish thing really, it's far too hot."

Confused, Phillip pointed out: "But... you did say 'not really', you said 'not really a fetish'?

"Is there an element of it on a cool day or when you have just put it on where you might creep into that?"

Adrian replied: "No, I don't think so, for me it's about making the suits and wearing them, going to conventions and stuff, no it's not for me, that stuff."

Viewer were left divided over Adrian, as some found his hobby creepy but others defended him and said he is not harming anyone.

One tweeted: "This Morning had a rabbit Furry on and the reaction was ridiculous. It doesn't harm anymore, and it makes him happy, so where the is the harm? It doesn't affect you, personally, so don't act like it does. # ThisMorning ".

"I think he looks adorable! If it makes him happy, and it isn't causing harm, what's the problem # ThisMorning ," remarked another.

But another penned: " # thismorning Kinky furry warning."

"I can’t express how much I dislike furries, they’re so creepy, especially when you see them at conventions with a bald patch in a certain area on their costume # thismorning ," complained another.

"Not them putting a furry on tv # ThisMorning ," added one more.

* This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am
