Every day, around 80 million photos are uploaded to Instagram. 80 million photos. Every single day.

While a lot of these photos will be of babies, cats or of an acquaintances' wedding, a lot of these are travel photos. Searching hashtags on Instagram has become a new way to research your next travel destination or, as TravelSupermarket has recently found out, find inspiration for your next picturesque road trip.

TravelSupermarket have analysed the hashtags from roadtrips around the world to see which have been used the most on Instagram. The result includes America's iconic Route 66 to Iceland's snowy Ring Road and Norway's mountainous Trollstigen.

Below are the top 10 most Instagrammable road trips in the world.

10. Cabot Trail, Nova Scotia, Canada

Considered one of the world's most scenic destinations, Nova Scotia is located on Canada's Atlantic Coast and is dotted with forests that turn gold come autumn and stunning ocean views. The best time to visit is when the leaves change at the beginning of October to see the autumnal foliage in all its glory.
