Brazilians demand justice and protest against police violence after bloody raid in Rio’s favela

Hundreds of Brazilians have taken to the streets of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo to protest against police brutality and systemic racism, one week after a huge police operation in a favela in Rio left 28 people dead. Human rights activists have described the deaths as “extra-judicial killings”, a situation favela inhabitants have been denouncing for years, as FRANCE 24’s correspondent Pierre Le Duff reports from Rio from the protests.
