French community protest against controversial security bill in London
Members of the London's French community gathered in Trafalgar Square on Sunday (November 29) to protest against France's draft security law. The law would restrict the publication of images of the police under some circumstances and increase the surveillance tools available to authorities. There have been large protests across France against the bill, which opponents say could be abused to restrict legitimate scrutiny of the police. The protests were given added momentum by the emergence of footage of Black music producer Michel Zecler being beaten by police officers in Paris on November 21.
