The Daily Mirror leads on the jailing of the teenager who helped murder and dump the body of Logan Mwangi in a river in Wales. The paper says 14-year-old Craig Mulligan was described in court as a “monster” and it describes his victim as an “innocent lost in a house of evil”. It adds that a review has been launched to find out how authorities allowed Logan to remain with the “brutally dysfunctional family”.
The Sun leads with its story that Tory deputy chief whip Chris Pincher has resigned from the government over alleged “drunken gropes” at a private members’ club. The Daily Mail says the “shock resignation” could reignite the “Pestminster” row about “political sleaze” that rocked Westminster in 2017.
Meanwhile, The i reported that Theresa May has called for Boris Johnson to ban conversion therapy for transgender people. Writing in the paper the former PM says her successor “must keep” his pledge to ban the practice.
