Kind driver stops to help turtle cross the road in Thailand

This is the heartwarming moment a kind driver stopped his car to help a turtle cross the road. Dashcam footage shows the car driving through a village near the sea, in Nakhon Pathom province, Thailand, on January 14. Suddenly the little creature appears in view, slowly crossing the road. The patient driver though stopped his car and gave the notoriously unhurried animal time to move. But once the turtle cleared his own lane, the driver realised it was still far from safety, so got out of his car and picked the turtle up, walking it to the other side of the road. Driver Bombesy said: "I was relieved that I was able to hit the brakes on time. If a speeding pickup truck was driving on this same road, this guy would have been crushed."
