People play 'ice cricket' on top of frozen lake in north India
A group of people went out onto a frozen lake to play cricket and other games following a cold snap in the north Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir. The players went out onto Lake Dal in Srinagar on January 14, where temperatures had dropped to -8.4 degrees Celsius the night before - one of the coldest nights recorded there in the last three decades. The district authorities have issued an advisory, asking people to avoid walking on Dal Lake.
