Sizewell C nuclear plant go-ahead confirmed with £700m public stake
Government investment in the development of Sizewell C nuclear plant is the first direct (stake) a “Government has taken in a nuclear project since 1987” and is a “first step on the ladder to a long term energy independence”, Business Secretary Grant Shapps said. Making a Commons statement on energy security, he spoke about the importance of “energy sovereignty”.
