Submerged ancient village appears after reservoir dries up due to drought in east China
A submerged ancient village appeared after a reservoir dried up due to drought in eastern China. The drone video, filmed in the city of Ningbo in Zhejiang Province on February 28, shows the 120,000,000-cubic-metre Jiaokou Reservoir drying up, revealing the stone foundation of an ancient villager's houses which was submerged 50 years ago. People in Dajiao Ancient Village were relocated to a nearby area after local authorities built up a dam as a flood defence, which also created a reservoir over the village site. According to local villagers, the current drought was the worst one since the reservoir was built.
