SWAT team wrestles elderly Chinese man to ground after he refuses to take COVID-19 test
SWAT officers wrestled an elderly man onto the ground after he refused to take a coronavirus test in northern China. The shocking video, filmed in the city of Shijiazhuang in Hebei Province on January 11, shows an elderly man holding a brick in his hand and refusing to take a COVID-19 test. Four police officers then held the man down on the ground, while holding his face for a paramedic worker in protective clothing to get a sample from him for the test. The emotional elderly man also reportedly spat at the officers repeatedly. According to reports, the city became China's new COVID-19 epicentre recently and more than 20 million people were put in a lockdown. A netizen on Weibo said: "Did anyone communicate with the elderly man in advance? If no, it is a bit over the top." Another netizen said: "It was a bit harsh to an elderly man." The video was provided by local media with permission.
