
Venice canals dry up after exceptionally low tide
The famous canals of Venice almost dried up over the weekend after an extremely low tide left shallow waters. Extremely high and low tides are a regular occurrence in Venice, due to rising sea levels, climate change, and astronomical factors. The minuscule streams leave boats stranded and reveal all kinds of things in the canals.
