Waters nearly swallow dirt bike after river crossing in Spain

Dramatic video captures the moment a dirt bike enthusiast’s river crossing went horribly wrong in Spain. Sergi Vilella, from Catalonia, was out for a ride with his brother when he attempted to cross a river that was at a higher level than usual thanks to recent rain. Sergi said: "My brother and I decided to go out one day to ride, as we have always done since we were young. Throughout the week it had been raining and as can be seen in the video the level of the rivers had risen. In my mind I knew that I might not be able to make it through, but I tried anyway and the footage shows the result." Although his dirt bike ended up needing a new engine, Sergi was in good spirits and considered the incident a learning experience.
