Luchi-ghugni (West Bengal)

The classic combination of ghugni, a spiced chickpea or Bengal gram based curry, and luchi (deep-fried flat bread) is typically eaten for breakfast and snacks. Other popular vegetarian dishes eaten here include begun bhaja (fried brinjal), aloo posto (potatoes cooked in poppy seeds paste), potol bhaja (fried parwal or pointed gourd) and mochar ghonto (banana flower and potato curry). End your meals with some traditional Bengali sweets, such as rosogulla, chomchom and sandesh.
