PM: Attendance at summit in Prague is 'not about moving closer to Europe'

Liz Truss has said that her attendance at the European Political Community summit in Prague is “not about moving closer to Europe” following Brexit. The Prime Minister has been attending the summit in the Czech Republic, which has brought together EU and non-EU leaders from across the continent. She also called French President Emmanuel Macron a “friend” as she spoke to the media at the summit. Her comments during the Tory leadership race, when she declined to say whether Mr Macron was a “friend or foe”, were widely criticised.
