Two arrested after serious assault at Rhyl retail park

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in a Rhyl car park.

The incident happened shortly before 6.30pm on Tuesday, May 11, between B&Q and Pizza Hut at the Clwyd Retail Park.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent but have since been released under investigation.

Police say enquiries into the incident are ongoing and are urging anyone who witnessed it or has dashcam footage from the scene to contact officers.

A spokesman for North Wales Police, said: “We received a call at 6.29pm on Tuesday evening (11/5) reporting a public order incident on the car park between B&Q and Pizza Hut at the Clwyd Retail Park, Rhyl.

“Officers attended and two men were arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent.

“They have been released under investigation whilst our enquiries continue.

“We would ask that anyone in the area at the time who witnessed the incident, or has dashcam footage to contact us on 101 or via live webchat quoting Z065409.”
