NEWS OF THE WEEK: Britney Spears' father claims she received a $15 million book deal for conservatorship memoir
In court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, the popstar's father has attempted to compel a deposition from Britney on the grounds that she received a $15 million (£12.27 million) book deal to write a memoir about the very things she refuses to speak of in court. A deposition is a witness's sworn out-of-court testimony, including information that can be used in the discovery process and sometimes at trial, according to Cornell University's Legal Information Institute. Jamie is currently preparing a case against Britney, as the court documents reference his “right to prepare his case”.
