Gang violence in Mayotte: Victims of the attacks speak to FRANCE 24
Victims of the violence that has surged over the past month in Mayotte have told FRANCE 24 they're scared to speak out because they fear reprisal. France has beefed up its security presence in the overseas department in response to the growing insecurity. What started as gang violence over three weeks ago escalated into a series of attacks on motorists, as masked youths targeted people at random. FRANCE 24's Andrew Hilliar and Achraf Abid have been speaking to some of the victims of those attacks.
