Police rescue bear from tree

The Massachusetts Environmental Police successfully tranquilized and rescued a black bear after it climbed into a tree in an Arlington, Massachusetts, backyard on Friday, May 17, police said. The bear was seen wandering through the Boston suburb on Friday morning and prompted a police response. Massachusetts Environmental Police administered a tranquilizer to the creature who slowly climbed down from its perch, according to local media. Police said the three-year-old bear will be transported to western Massachusetts to be released into the wild. Videos posted by the Arlington Police Department shows the bear in the tree as well as officials placing the tranquilized animal into a vehicle to be transported.
