Stunning parade delights spectators in Bolivian capital

Tens of thousands lined the streets of the Bolivian capital on Saturday for the "Jesus of Great Power" procession - one of the city's most important and vibrant religious festivals. The parade covers about 8 kilometres (4.9 miles) and the dancing can last for more than 14 hours. This year around 40,000 dancers took part alongside 7,000 musicians. Many dancers wore typical Andean clothing as well as silver masks, hats and pieces of jewellery. The parade pays homage to an image of Christ from Spanish colonial times and has been celebrated annually for the past century.
