Pierre Cardin (July 2, 1922 – Dec. 29, 2020)

The French designer, known for his signature creations and for bringing designer clothes to the masses, died at a hospital in Neuilly, near Paris, France. He was 98. A family statement read, "It is a day of great sadness for all our family. Pierre Cardin is no more. We are all proud of his tenacious ambition and the daring he has shown throughout his life. Italian by birth, Pierre Cardin never forgot his origins while bringing unconditional love to France." Some of his most memorable work include the Bubble Dress of 1954 and the "Space Age" collection of 1964.
