Chelsea have made winger Christian Pulisic available for transfer if recent reports are to be believed.

The Blues signed Pulisic for a fee in the region of £54 million back in 2019 after establishing himself as one of the most exciting young players in Europe during his time with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund. However, he has failed to live up to the hype since arriving in the Premier League, providing just 20 goals and nine assists from 90 league outings.

Graham Potter's side are now stacked with talent in the wide positions after adding Ukranian star Mykhailo Mudryk, as well as former PSV man Noni Madueke during the January transfer window. These winger additions may mean that Pulisic's time at Stamford Bridge could be coming to an end, according to transfer guru Ben Jacobs.

Speaking to CaughtOffside, Jacobs said: “Christian Pulisic is technically available on the market, though Graham Potter has said on the record that he won’t leave in January, and the fact that he got injured until February doesn’t help matters. Pulisic didn’t desperately enjoy working under Thomas Tuchel, so a fit Pulisic under a new manager might be able to shine at Chelsea.

"It could be that this injury will prove a blessing in disguise for Chelsea, because it gives them more time between now and the end of the season to see if they can get the best out of Pulisic. There are admirers of course, Newcastle and Manchester United enquired about him in the summer, with the latter quite keen on a loan, but I’ve always been told that Serie A is the more likely destination for Pulisic.

"Juventus have considered him in the past and he even spoke to Weston McKennie about the club, and more recently AC Milan have been linked as well. But we’re looking at a summer exit if Potter is true to his word."

It remains to be seen whether or not Pulisic will leave the west London club in the near future, although Chelsea boss Potter claimed that the American international would not be departing this month. "No chance, no", the former Brighton head coach said when asked if Pulisic could leave in the winter window.

"There was never any consideration of anything about that anyway but he's a couple of months. He's disappointed but he's optimistic that he can come back quicker than the two months so he's in that phase where he's just trying to keep his fingers crossed and hopefully his rehab goes well."
