NFL World Reacts To Bengals Coach's Blunt Message For Ezekiel Elliott
Recent reports have indicated that free agent running back Ezekiel Elliott has a shortlist of teams that he's interested in signing with. One of those teams is the Cincinnati Bengals, whose coach addressed the alleged interest.
In a recent interview, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor seemed to dismiss the reports that Elliott is considering his team for his next destination. Taylor seemed to shrug off the potential move and indicated that the Bengals like their team as it is.
"There's a lot of great players who are available right now. We like our team where it's at but it's always funny when things get thrown around. Sometimes it's the first you hear them, but that's just the way life works," Taylor said, via WCPO's Mike Dyer.
Suffice it to say, Taylor doesn't seem to be giving any info away whatsoever as to whether the Bengals plan to actually sign the Pro Bowl running back.
Yesterday the Bengals were one of three teams reported to be on Ezekiel Elliott's shortlist for the 2023 season. The others were the New York Jets and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Philadelphia would probably be the most notable new destination given their rivalry with the Dallas Cowboys. Though some Cowboys fans probably wouldn't mind given the parallels to DeMarco Murray making the same move in 2015.
Supposedly a decision is coming next week, but there has to be interest first.
