Here are your Football.London Chelsea headlines on Saturday, July 2.

Chelsea eye Premier League winger as Raphinha alternative

The Blues are considering all their options as struggles continue with convincing the Leeds United man to agree personal terms anytime soon as the Brazilian continues to wait for Barcelona.

Therefore, with Raheem Sterling almost nailed on to sign, manager Thomas Tuchel needs to give new owner Todd Boehly some other names to consider if the worst was to come to the worse in the Raphinha situation.

Burnley's Maxwel Cornet is apparently being looked at by the current World Champions, as per talkSPORT. Having been relegated with the Clarets last season and already biding farewell to the fans with his emotional lap of honour of the final day Newcastle defeat, the Ivorian isn't expected to be part of Vincent Kompany's rebuild in the Championship.

In fact, the Burnley board would reportedly cash in if an offer of around £17.5million was presented their way. Could be a smart signing for the Blues in their rebuild.

Matthijs de Ligt drops Chelsea transfer bombshell as Kalidou Koulibaly move 'very likely'

Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt has reportedly told a Chelsea supporter whilst on holiday that he does 'not know' what his future holds amid strong transfer rumours whilst a move for Serie A Kalidou Koulibaly has been rated as 'very likely.'

The Blues' defensive re-shuffle is really starting to take some shape. The Telegraph have reported that the current world champions have made progress in negotiations for Juventus' No 4 as a cash-plus-player swap deal remains on the table. £60million plus one of either Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner or Jorginho is likely to be enough to close this transfer for a player who is a dream target of Tuchel, who initially looked like getting Jules Kounde handed his way by the club before Marina Granovskaia left the club.

Although the Sevilla defender could still be signed this summer, alternatives are certainly being considered with the German keen on Man City's Nathan Ake. City though are wanting to secure a replacement and a healthy windfall from the sale of the former Bournemouth defender before they give this one the go-ahead alongside the Raheem Sterling move which is reportedly a 'done deal.'

Whether both De Ligt and Ake will be signed together this summer is a distinct possibility but it's also realistic to believe that there could be problems down the line in negotiations for both, in spite of the positive start to these talks with each player.

What Raheem Sterling and Raphinha have been spotted doing amid Chelsea 'done deal' claims

Will both of Raheem Sterling and Raphinha be joining Chelsea this summer or will it only be one?

Free-agent Ousmane Dembélé and other attacking options could come into the equation if the worse was to come to the worst in relation to Raphinha. Regardless of what is to unfold over the next few days and weeks, both Sterling and Raphinha are chilling and unwinding ahead of an early return to pre-season in preparations for this rather unusual 2022/23 campaign.

City's number 7 was spotted reading a book with a stunning view ahead of him as he posted on his Instagram @sterling7 whilst his 25-year-old Premier League compatriots' latest Instagram post was him with his girlfriend on holiday in Doha, Qatar as posted on @raphinha.
