Schumacher's Haas F1 Future ‘50-50’

Mick Schumacher's future in Formula 1 is uncertain. The 23-year-old's options for the coming season are few and far between. Current team boss Günther Steiner says Schumacher’s chances of retaining his Haas F1 seat are “fifty-fifty.” Steiner and team owner Gene Haas want to wait and explore the driver market before making a decision on Schumacher. "We're just playing against ourselves. We don't actually have any time pressure at all, everyone else has time pressure, but we don't," Günther Steiner, Team Principal Haas F1. Outside of Haas, Schumacher has very few options for a seat on the F1 grid. Alpine are a possibility, but the French team are said to be keen on AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly. Williams are the only other possibility for the German driver, although they may be seen as a step backwards by the driver.
