Wouldn't you love a little sunshine in your life for the school holidays and Jubilee Weekend?

From Friday, the organisers of the Kirklees annual Holiday at Home Theme Park are back in Huddersfield for 10 days, and where better to save on expensive fuel costs than by visiting the spectacular event right on your doorstep. This year the event takes place in Greenhead Park with family rides and attractions from Saturday, 28 May to Sunday 5, June.

Co-organiser, Roger Tuby, said: "Best of all, once you have entered the event all the rides are included in the one price and while the younger ones can check out the rides, mum and dad can have an ice-cold drink or enjoy a bite to eat. Holiday at Home is a concept that attends just once a year in the area and the message is stay local rather than racking up huge travel costs and enjoy what Kirklees has to offer and the theme park at Greenhead Park has it all."

And for many visitors once they have soaked up some sun it will be the fun park where they will head especially as they can enjoy spin after spin on the Waltzers, swing high on the amazing Devil Rock or zig-zag from side to side on the Sizzler Twist. They can sample a kid's Roller Coaster, soar to new heights on a 40m observation ride plunge on the Disco Fever or bounce up and down on the Crazy Hopper, and what party would be complete without the dodgems.

With an unlimited ride wristband included in the admission priced at just £12 everyone can enjoy as many rides as they wish between 11am-2pm, 2pm-pm or 5pm-8pm on Saturdays and Thursday 2 nd and Friday 3 rd June when there will be three sessions a day or on Sundays, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 1pm-4pm and 4pm-7.30pm when there will be two sessions.

There are lots for the kids to sample too with inflatables, toy rides, planes, train rides, cups and saucers, and swinging chairs. Food and seaside sweets are also available. Stewart Robinson from International Funfairs also added: "We are so grateful to Kirklees Council for their assistance as always. We are so excited to be back and ready to welcome everyone to our attractions, and we are sure our guests will have a safe enjoyable day out at a great price."

* Holiday at Home Theme Park is next to the miniature railway at Greenhead Park from Saturday 28 th May to Sunday 5 th June. Entrance is by wristband only at £12, or £2.50 for parents or guardians not riding but accompanying children. Once inside all rides are free.

* Tickets are available now on Skiddle, but tickets are also available on the gate. Guests are advised to arrive 30 minutes before the start of a session.
