Fox steals flip-flops from ex-Olympian's house

Amy McCann, a former Olympian baseball player, is seeking the return of some precious items that were stolen by a fox outside her Watsonia home, in Melbourne, Victoria. The wily animal can be seen in CCTV footage uploaded to Facebook running from McCann’s porch with a flip-flop in its mouth, before returning for the second shoe and finally for a baseball. McCann told Storyful of her attachment to the shoes. “Those thongs are limited edition Rio 2016 Olympic Games thongs that I bought from the Athletes Village in Rio when working there with the Australian Olympic Team in 2016, so can’t really get them back… they are pretty unique!” she said. “We are not sure where he [the fox] took them. We walked down the street to the school to look there and found the baseball all chewed up but couldn’t find the thongs,” McCann added. Credit: Amy McCann via Storyful
