See Trotsky’s crumbling mansion on Buyukada Island

Drone footage captures the ruins of Leon Trotsky’s once grandiose mansion on Turkey’s Buyukada Island. The dilapidated three-storey building and its grounds sprawl over a 3,550-square-metre piece of land. Local historians believe he wrote his famous autobiography “My Life” and “History of the Russian Revolution” while he was at the property. Even though the property is in a severe state of disrepair, it was put up for sale in 2015 for $4.4 million dollars (3.9 million euros).
