The ultimate crossover? Karst cave in China converted into basketball court

A karst cave in Zhuchang, near the city of Bijie in south-western China, is home to a slightly different feature compared to those usually associated with holes in the ground - a basketball court. Built as a playground in a bid to escape the harsh weather conditions outside, the court remains warmer in winter and cooler in the summer. The idea came from locals who saw potential in the space. In total, they raised 80,000 RMB (€10,246; $11,356) for the project.
