UN Security Council renews MINUSMA mandate
The UN Security Council has votes to renew the mandate of its peacekeeping force in Mali despite the loss of air support from France. Healthcare workers in Zimbabwe headed out on strike at the end of June demanding a tenfold increase of their wages threatening to strike again if their demands are not met. And the Egyptian government ordered the inhabitants of around thirty houseboats along the Nile to evacuate their homes by this week.
