Empty shelves at Tesco amid Heinz Baked Beans row over prices
This footage, which was filmed yesterday (July 1) in a Tesco supermarket in London, shows empty shelves in the food section that usually hosts Heinz Beanz cans. A sticker says: "Heinz Baked Beans 3X20- next delivery expected Friday 8th July. Sorry. Out of stock". The American food company Heinz pulled out some of its products from Tesco in a row over price increases. The US brand claimed that the rise in prices is due to higher production costs and supply chain issues. Tesco publicly rejected Heinz's decision to raise costs and committed to protecting its customers from "unjustifiable price increases".
