'I want to go home': Upset Bristol motorist pleads with Kill The Bill protestors
An irate motorist pleaded with Kill The Bill protesters to let his car through their gathering in Bristol, UK, on Saturday 15 January. "I just want to go home" the man pleaded, at one point holding up his child and saying "she wants to go home" too. The demonstration was one of a number of such protests around the UK, against the UK government's Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill. Opponents say it will sharply curtail the right to protest. It will also give the police new surveillance and stop-and-search powers. Eventually the police cleared a path for the upset Mercedes driver to get through.
