Authorities in India have seized large quantities of teak wood in central India's Madhya Pradesh on January 20. The incident took place in Sanjay Nagar in Deori district. Video showed officials recovering the wood from the house of the accused. Meanwhile, a huge crowd gathered to witness them stacking the wood on their vehicle. The officials from the Forest Department raided the accused man's house and recovered teak woods alleged to be worth Rs. 1 lakh (USD 1,343). The Singpur and Nauradehi range officers retrieved 18 logs alleged to be being illegally traded. The police of Deori also played an essential role in the process.
