Protesters in Newtown, Wales, join UK-wide Kill The Bill day of action
Protesters in Newtown in Wales joined a UK-wide day of action on Saturday against the government's Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill. The protest on 15 January was one of several around the country against the proposed law, which opponents say will sharply curtail the right to protest. It will also give the police new surveillance and stop-and-search powers.
