It was always going to be a funny Emmy Awards night with Covid restrictions wreaking havoc on the normal glitz and glamour.

But host Jimmy Kimmel was on fire while some pretty big names did their part to make it an entertaining night.

Jennifer Aniston, Ramsy Youssef and Jason Bateman all played their roles in making it a night to remember.

We’ve thrown together a short list of some of the Emmys funny moments that made everyone smile.

JIMMY KIMMEL’S INTRO

Kimmy Kimmel did what all the best entertainers do…he adapted to the situation which is why his opening monologue was so hilarious.

He kicked off the show by telling jokes to a laugh track and video reactions from stars of Emmy’s past. But when he finally fessed up that he was alone, he switched over into some pandemic-related jokes.

JASON BATEMAN AS A CARDBOARD CUTOUT

The genius that is Jason Bateman was also on hand to help create a few laughs. The Ozark actor pretended to be one of the cardboard cutouts that filled the audience.

As Jimmy tells the audience at home: ‘Instead of a live audience, we took a page from baseball and filled the seats with cardboard cutouts of the nominees. We have Regina, Meryl—wait a minute. Go back one. Jason? Jason? I know it’s you. I saw your eyes moving.’

Not wanting to be caught, the Ozark star stayed still before responding, ‘Mind your business, Kimmel. Big night for me.’

But when he’s told theirs strict rules such as laughing at Jimmy’s jokes he decides to leave.

JENNIFER ANISTON PUTS OUT A FIRE

The Friends actress is known for her comedy timing so her part in a skit where she uses a fire extinguisher was always likely to work.

Aniston, who looked stunning btw, presented the first award of the night.

But Kimmel insisted that he had to disinfect the envelope and light it on fire. He then needed Jennifer to put it out with a fire extinguisher.

RAMSY YOUSSEF’S LOSER SKETCH

Good sport Ramsy Youssef shared a video showing just what happens  when you don’t win the Emmy. The Ramy star posted a clip of a hazmat suit-wearing presenter waving from outside his house, taking away the golden statuette.

“when you lose the emmy,” Youssef tweeted.

US POSTAL SKETCH

Jimmy Kimmel and Anthony Carrigan performed a spoof on the USPS controversy- the US Postal Service needs more funding to deliver postal votes for the Presidential election.

In the skit Carrigan played a Russian mailman who promised Kimmel that his mail-in ballot was safe with him.
