Sarah Ferguson is probably the only member of the royal family who will admit to enjoying The Crown. She’s such a big fan, in fact, she offered to help them with some insider information.

It’s the chance that many series creators would jump at but apparently not the Netflix regal drama.

Sarah aka Fergie revealed that her offer of help was turned down by the show.

While season four focused on Prince Charles’ relationship with Princess Diana, Fergie made a brief appearance but it was so quick that it didn’t exactly sit well with Fergie.

‘Hello? Where is Fergie?’ she joked in a recent interview with Town & Country.

In fact she is so invested in the series that she called up the executive producer: ‘I said to him, “Why can’t I help my character?”‘ However, it was decided that the series did not need her help.

If you ask us, we think the series would be massively improved with some Fergie content.

While Fergie’s wedding to Prince Andrew appeared in season four, there wasn’t an awful lot of content about the redhead and considering her close relationship with Diana, we’re sure there could have been a way to incorporate her into the story a bit more.

Details about the fifth season are still being kept under wraps so it’s unclear if there will be more Fergie or less.

Filming is currently underway for the next season with the first picture of Harry Potter star Imelda Staunton taking on the role of Queen Elizabeth being released recently.

The Alchemist actress, Lesley Manville, is taking over the role of Princess Margaret from Helena Bonham Carter, while Jonathan Pryce will take on the role of Prince Philip.

Elizabeth Debicki will be taking on the role of Princess Diana in season five while Dominic West will apparently play Prince Charles but his casting hasn’t been confirmed by the Netflix team yet.

The final two seasons will cover the time frame between the early nineties right up to 2003 so the show will have plenty of dramatic moments to pick from.
