Six couples remain on the ABC show following a shocking double elimination on Monday that saw partners Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson and Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke sent packing.

Fans of the show were shocked by the latest elimination. Although the former Bachelorette competitor struggled to get his footing in the ballroom, he appeared to be getting the hang of things leading up to his elimination.

Amabile and Johnson received a score of 22 out of 30 for their contemporary routine during Monday’s show.

As for Di Pace and Burke, the pair received a perfect score of 30 out of 30 for their Argentine Tango. Still, they got the axe.

Their elimination was particularly confusing to the judges.

The Dancing With the Stars semi-finals aired on Monday, November 12, at 8pm ET on ABC. At the end of the episode, hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews shocked viewers by revealing that three couples were in trouble and two would be leaving.

Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson, Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke and Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten were the trio facing elimination. Ultimately, Joe and Jenna and Juan Pablo and Cheryl were cut from the competition.

Juan Pablo and Cheryl’s elimination was particularly unexpected as they’d just received one of several perfect scores for the season.

Who will win Dancing With the Stars?

According to Gold Derby, season 27 of Dancing With the Stars will be won by Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe or Milo Manheim and Witney Carson.

Lynch and Motsepe are in the lead with odds of 29-10. Manheim and Carson aren't far behind with four-one odds. 

In third place is Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten with odds of five-one.
